VISIT TO BRAHMOS AEROSPACE

DPS R.N. Extension organized an educational visit to BrahMos aerospace,which is a joint venture between Defense Research Development Organisation and The Federal state unitary enterprise NPO Mashinostroyenia of Russia . 47 students from class IX and XI along with teachers visited the aerospace on 29.11.2019,situated in Delhi Cant. Area. Students were warmly welcomed by the staff ,followed by an interactive session with Col. Suri ,who gave a brief introduction about BrahMos .Two groups were made, where the first group was guided by Mr. Rahul Tripathi and the other by Col. Suri to visit the technical centre and section dedicated to the works of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Col.suri and Mr.Rahul Tripathi described the origin of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile including all its variants,crucial role of BrahMos in modern war dynamic and the strides India has made in the field of Defence and Aerospace. Students were enthralled to see audio visual presentation ,where in they explained how missile is being assembled and hits the target. Students were privileged and honored to witness the accolades and achievements of Dr. Kalam and his contribution to scientific advancement India has made. Beside the enlightening visit, the school was honored to receive the memento from the GM of BrahMos Aerospace.The visit to BrahMos helped the students gain insight into the scientific progress and brought inclination towards technology.
