The Behes Team won Runner-Up Trophy @ Behes NOIDA ROUND

Students of DPS R.N. Extension participated in ‘BEHES, Greater Noida’ held on 22nd and 23rd August 2019 wherein Kritin Agarwal of Class IX bagged gold medal for being the third BEST SPEAKER in the Cubs division, Yashveer and Ansh of class XI got silver medal and Mohd. Waqass of class X got Bronze medal in the Lions division. Also the Lions team won the runner’s trophy and was awarded for the BEST TEAM name – “RAHUL BABA’S MUMMY RETURNS”.

Best Delegate Award @ CAMUN 2019

21 students of Classes VII to XI and our teachers of DPS R.N. Extension participated and got an opportunity to attend the two-day conference held in Cambridge School, Indirapuram on the 12th and 13th October 2019. There were about 300 delegates from all across the globe participated to achieve a common motive – a better understanding and a better world. All the delegates’ hard work and painstaking efforts were praise worthy. Our team of DPS R.N. Extension won the BEST DELEGATION AWARD. Drishti Solankey of class X bagged the Special mention Award while Aashita Jain of class X received the Honourale mention Award and Rohit Sharma of Class IX received Verbal mention Award.

Awards/Prizes bagged at INFINITUS IT FEST 2019

The students of DPS R.N. Extension participated in INFINITUS 2019, IT FEST held on 11th October 2019, Friday organized by DPS Ghaziabad, Meerut. Students from schools across Delhi- NCR region also participated. Sakshay Kumar of class III and Aryan Gupta of class IV bagged the WINNER’S TROPHY (Ist prize) in the ‘Picture Perfect’ category. Stuti Tyagi of clas VII bagged the 2nd Runner’s up trophy in the event ‘CODE ZONE’. Kumar Shubham of class V and Gaurang Sachdeva of class VI got the participation certificate. Overall, DPS R.N. Extension was felicitated with Overall Team 2nd Runner’s up trophy for all the great work and performances that was put by our students in DPS Ghaziabad ‘INFINITUS IT FEST’.

Achievement at The Melange- 2019

A 2-day Interschool fest MELANGE-2019 was organized on 23rd and 24th October 2019 at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School. About 51 students participated in various categories stimulating the minds of prodigies to make the most of their ingenuity. Vansh Bajpayee of class V and Vivaan Upadhyay of class IV bagged 3rd position under the ‘BYTE THE BITS’. Also Medha Saxena of class X and Viddhi Chandel of class IX bagged Ist position under the ‘APPEALING TANS – COMPLETE THE TAN’. Aman Razdan and Swayam Agarwal of class X bagged 3rd position under the ‘BRAND AD-PLAN YOUR AD’ category. It was a feast for the eyes to see young intellectual, eloquent orators, perspicacious computer geeks presenting the spirit of healthy competitions.

Association with Google Flagship CS FIRST

The rapidly changing phase of technology motivated DPS R.N. Extension to set new benchmarks in imparting computer education in an interesting way. With this objective in mind the school has associated with Google flagship educational programme called CS FIRST. The school launched Google classroom for classes IV to VIII at absolutely free of cost during school hours. The CS FIRST curriculum introduced coding and computer science among the children in a collaborative and creative environment which made learning more effective and practical. It curated activities by Google educators that were free from rote learning. Students enjoyed block coding from scratch which helped them to ink the classroom experiences with the outside world.

DPS R.N. Extension certified "GREEN" by Green School Programme

The school was certified as the ‘GREEN campus’ in 2019 audit, an initiative of CSE (Centre for Science and Environment). Various activities were conducted such as land, air, water, energy, waste and food. Students from classes VIII to XI were involved in conducting the survey under the guidance of GSP coordinator Ms. Lakshmi Srinivasan and Science faculty Mr. Bharat Kumar. Three senior students were accompanied by theafore mentioned teachers who attended the ceremony. The students also took part in the solar kit activity.

BEHES@DPS R.N. Extension

A two-day debating event “BEHES” Ghaziabad was hosted by DPS from R.N. Extension on 2nd & 3rd August 2019 organized for the Britsh Council’s ISA award under the project “BETWEEN THE COVERS”. 239 debators from 20 schools from Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad participated. One the first day, each team took part in three debates. The second day, the results were displayed and only 16 teams from Cub’s and 8 team from the Lion’s division had qualified for the knock out rounds. The mixed team from Bookmark – the library won the Champions Trophy.

Battle of Band - 2019

An inter-school music band competition ”Battle of Bands” was held at DPS RN Extension on 1st February, 2020 as part of the ISA activity under the project “Sound of Music” . Schools from Delhi- NCR took part in the event. The lamp was lit to invoke divine blessings on the event. The Principal of the school, Mrs Pallavi Upadhyaya welcomed the judges who are well known in youth band circuit and had great knowledge of music and stage performances. She also wished all the bands of various schools to give their best. The performance of each band was of a very high standard and the entire campus throbbed with music. The Amity International School, Saket emerged as the winners of the event. DPS RN Extension came second and DPS Indirapuram came third.

Shock Absorbing Stretcher

We're elated to share the success of our student Nirbhay Kaushik (Class VIII) who had won an award of Rs. 10,000/- in the INSPIRE AWARDS MANAK SCHEME 2020-21 conducted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, on the Project ‘SHOCK ABSORBING STRETCHER’. Nirbhay will be representing his project at the district level exhibition. Congratulations!

It is celebration time for DPS RN Extension as our school has been accredited by the British Council for our efforts to embed international aspect in our school curriculum and have been awarded International Dimension In Schools (IDS) Certificate for the period 2020-23. Hindi Olympiad

Sanskrit Olympiad

Sanskrit has universal reach, appeal, and applicability. Even NASA claimed that Sanskrit is a scientific language in which words are written exactly the way they are spoken. To encourage the young generation, a state-level competitive program was organized by National Sanskrit Olympiad. Two of our students, Raghav Jindal and Stuti Tyagi from tenth and seventh grades respectively won 1st prize and Reva Bhardwaj from sixth grade secured the fourth position.

International Mathematics Olympiad 2020-21

Our students have achieved 8 gold medals of excellence, 1 international silver medal, and 2 medals of distinction in the International Mathematics Olympiad. We applaud their hard work and outstanding performance.

International Award For Young People

DPS R.N. Extension congratulates the IAYP awardees. Out of nineteen students registered with International Award for Young People (aka the Duke of Edinburgh Award), five students completed activities in the bronze level, and fourteen students completed activities in the silver level and received badges and certificates as per the level achieved. The aim of this programme is to motivate young people to become involved in a balanced programme of voluntary and self-development activities.

Rock School London Award

DPS R.N. Extension is proud to present the students who had performed commendably in the Western Music Grade Exam conducted by Rockschool, London in November 2020. It was a skill-based exam which needed close mentoring and the students appeared for various grade from debut to grade 3 on instruments such as Drums, Acoustic Guitar and Ukulele. Despite the online mode of instructions, out of eleven students who had appeared, nine got distinction and two got Merit. Congratulations to all the achievers.

Spectacular Performance Class X

Students of DPS R.N. Extension brought laurels to the school with their spectacular performance in the Grade X CBSE Board Examination, 2021. A significant number of students achieved 90% and above in aggregate.

National Level Abacus Competition

“All stars shine; some shine brighter.”
Once again, a proud and elated moment for DPS Raj Nagar Extension as AARVE MITTAL of Grade III displays exemplary mathematical dexterity by bagging 2nd position in the National Level Abacus Competition. The competition was held under the auspices of the Skill Smarter Abacus Programme on August 28th, 2022, at Lotus Veda International Pre-School, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi.
