Astronomy Club Activity
Today, on 7th February 2018, fourth session of Astronomy Club took place at Delhi Public School R. N. Extension. The topic for the session was ‘Invisible Astronomy’.
Students were explained about the various components of ‘The Electromagnetic Spectrum’ which comprises of Radis waves, Microwaves, Infrared Waves, Visible Spectrum (VIBGYOR), Ultraviolet Waves, X-Rays and Gamma Rays.
Temperature, wavelength and frequency related to these different components were explained with the help of presentations and facts obtained from various telescopes present in the space.
Students also made their individual spectroscopes suing the basic components.
Each child felt like an astronomer while observing the spectacular phenomenon of dispersion through the spectroscope by them.
It was overall an enriching experience.
